Pour yourself a drink, grab a pen and paper and take notes on these amazing places!

Architecture from another planet

Barcelona is the perfect city to explore with your family on foot, as doing so will give you the freedom to pause and take stock of the gorgeous architectural gems around every corner.

One world-famous landmark that you can’t not see during your time in the Catalan capital is the Sagrada Familia, whose towers are even taller than Shambhala’s highest loop. The beauty of this as yet unfinished basilica is guaranteed to take your breath away, giving you the same rush of emotion as our thrilling roller coasters.

We also recommend exploring Park Güell and walking the length of Passeig de Gràcia, where you’ll stroll past iconic buildings such as Casa Batlló.

If you find yourself in the city centre, we suggest following your nose around the city’s Gothic Quarter. This network of winding streets and narrow alleys exudes fantasy and fun, just like PortAventura’s SésamoAventura. Lose yourself in this historical bohemian neighbourhood to create endless memories with your loved ones that are sure to last a lifetime!

Museums to great unforgettable memories

Barcelona also boasts a rich and diverse cultural offering. During your time in this iconic Mediterranean city, we highly recommend visiting some of its impressive museums and intriguing exhibitions!

The ciudad condal has something for everyone. For example, the animals, fossils and temporary exhibitions at CosmoCaixa are sure to entertain and intrigue both the little and not-so-little ones!

If you’ve got an eye for art, you’ll be in your element walking around the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC), the Picasso Museum and the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum. The quality on display will simply blow you away!

Barcelona’s Chocolate Museum is an attractive alternative for visitors with a sweet tooth, who are sure to find something on display that is a little more to their taste. 😉

Nature lovers will adore losing themselves in l’Oreneta Park, which is one of the city’s green lungs. It’s the perfect place to run, climb, play and breathe in the fresh air of the vast Serra de Collserola mountain range.

Barcelona’s Aquarium is another attraction that should feature high on your list of places to visit. This deep blue universe boasts a marine fauna of more than 11,000 specimens, comprising everything from marvellous Mediterranean fish to astonishing tropical species.
