Thanks for a Made to Remember 2023

Happy New Year!

Before we get started, we would like to wish you the very best of health and luck for 2024, which we hope will be filled with bucketloads of adrenaline and fun. But before we look at the year ahead in any great detail, we’d like to thank you for all the special moments we shared in 2023.

2023 will go down as one of the best years yet. And this wouldn’t have been possible without you!

You created multiple memories during those 365 special days. You braved our wildest rides such as Furius Baco and Shambhala. You soaked up some of our sensational shows. You learned that our hotels are places where the fun never stops. In short, you embraced the true essence of PortAventura World and inspired us to keep growing and evolving. So, all that’s left to say to you is…

The Carnival of Carnivals

2023 began with a Carnival in which you were blown away by the costumes and shows of Venice, the samba beats and vibrant colours of Rio and the long-standing traditions of Mexico. And you were able to enjoy all of it without even leaving PortAventura World!

It was amazing to see you laugh, jump, dance and move your body to the sound of everything we put together for you.

A summer to remember

We also shared our first MADE TO REMEMBER summer. In June, July and August, you hurtled down our steepest slides and plunged into every pool at Caribe Aquatic Park.

As you know, some summers are more memorable than others. Well, last summer you left a wonderful impression on all of us who form part of PortAventura World!

Uncharted: an enigma to discover over and over again

The arrival of Uncharted was another significant milestone that we celebrated at PortAventura World. We were especially thrilled with its addition since it’s one of the most enthralling dark rides in Europe!

Do you remember your first Uncharted experience? Because we do! It turns out that you were the missing piece that allowed Penitence Mountain to shine brightly!

A Halloween that will remain with you forever

Halloween arrived at PortAventura World on 23 September, and our parks and hotels were invaded by a creepy collection of other-worldly beings. Catrina, The Madman and The Witch pulled out all the stops to ensure that you were scared and entertained in equal measure. You were also able to enjoy a range of shows and passages that are only performed at this time of year.

Which was your favourite? We bet you’ll feel a shiver run down your spine just thinking about it!

A Christmas to last a lifetime

The year ended on a high with the Christmas season, where PortAventura World was dressed head-to-toe in the brightest of lights and the most festive of decorations. El Bosque Encantado, Santa Claus, the arrival of the Three Kings, Chilly Willy. Wow, it really had it all, didn’t it? The only things missing were carol singers and dancing on ice. Ah, wait, we did that too!

And having you with us was the best gift of all!

Special events

2023 was packed with many other memorable milestones and events including our Pride Night, becoming a B Corp company due to our positive social and environmental impact.

Our “Pedro, este verano no lo vamos a olvidar” initiative for Spanish citizens tasked with working at the polling booths and the installation of hundreds of solar panels…

We also cut the red tape on our first-ever virtual reality experience. In this incredible space, you can travel to zombie-infested cities and discover other planets, worlds and universes with little else but a set of goggles and special controllers.

We decided to see out 2023 by putting up a billboard in the centre of Madrid announcing that we would give away one free ticket to everyone who missed out on the main prize in the national Christmas lottery by a single number.

To conclude, 2023 really was Made to Remember. But we’re not going to rest on our laurels.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to the park in February for Carnival to end all Carnivals. It’s time to start recharging your batteries and planning your outfit. That’s all you need to prepare, as we’ve got the decoration, entertainment and adrenaline covered!
