Arturo Mas-Sardá – Chairman of the Board of Directors
Appointed: December 2012
Mr. Mas-Sardá joined PortAventura World in November 2012. Previously, he served as vice-chairman and CEO at Grupo Financiero Riva y García, and as a member of the board of directors of the Barcelona Stock Exchange, and worked for several financial institutions in the US and Spain. Mr. Mas-Sardá holds a degree in Business Administration and an MBA from ESADE Business & Law School in Barcelona, Spain.

Sergio Feder – Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors

Mr. Feder has 30 years of managerial experience in the resort and theme park industry. In the early 90s, he moved from the financial to the entertainment industry, becoming the CEO of Gardaland, the largest theme park in Italy, and later joined PortAventura World in 2010.

Álex Cruz – Executive Member of the Board of Directors
Appointed: December 2021
Álex is the former Chairman and CEO of several airlines including British Airways, Vueling, and Clickair. Mr. Cruz’s career started in the 90s at American Airlines in Dallas; after moving to London, he became a partner with Accenture, leading its aviation practice. In 2006 he led the start-up of Clickair, merging the company with Vueling in 2009, and eventually taking the helm at British Airways. An avid tech investor, Alex serves on the boards of Recaro and WestJet Airlines.

Fernando Aldecoa – Executive Member of the Board of Directors
Appointed: March 2012
Mr. Aldecoa has 27 years of experience in the theme park industry. He joined PortAventura World at its inception in 1994. He has worked mainly in the Financial and Operations departments and has been the General Manager for nine years.

David García – Executive Member of the Board of Directors
Appointed: June 2021
David joined PortAventura World as Managing Director in 2019. He has extensive international experience in the growth and transformation of companies in the travel and entertainment industry. His previous roles include several CEO and executive positions in large companies such as Air France-KLM and IAG, in countries such as France, UK, China, and Poland. David is also an investor and advisor to several tech start-ups in the United Kingdom and Spain.

Laurence Berman – Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors
Appointed: December 2019
Mrs. Berman brings 10 years of experience in the theme park industry, having been a Senior Executive at Disneyland Paris in both Strategy and Operations positions. She also brings her knowledge of the travel industry in Europe following 8 years as Chief Executive Officer of the French tour operator Jet Tours. She sat on the Executive Committee of Club Med for 7 years and has served as Non-Executive Director in the hospitality industry, including for Heritage Hotels (Indian Ocean).

Nathalie Gaveau – Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors
Appointed: June 2022
Mrs. Gaveau is a serial tech entrepreneur, board member, and investor. She started in M&A at Lazard before co-founding successful online marketplaces PriceMinister and Shopcade. Mrs. Gaveau has international experience, including 6 years in Asia Pacific. She is a Non-Executive Director of Lightspeed Commerce (LSPD), Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), a major benefactor of the HEC Foundation, and active venture investor in e-Commerce, Fintech, and impact investing. Based in London, Nathalie is currently President of Tailwind International SPAC.

Frank Gelardin – Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors

Mr. Gelardin runs his own independent investment banking advisory firm which he founded in New York in 1998. He specialises in venture capital, private equity, and corporate development across the renewable energy, technology, entertainment, media, and financial services sectors, with a specific cross-border focus on the US and Southern Europe. Frank holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Government from Harvard College Class of 1981.

Juan de Ochoa– Member of the Board of Directors
Appointed: February 2014
Mr. de Ochoa joined KKR Capstone in 2011 and currently serves as Co-Head of KKR Capstone EMEA. Mr. de Ochoa is a member of KKR’s EMEA Portfolio Management Committee. With KKR Capstone, Mr. de Ochoa has led various value creation efforts across the EMEA portfolio with a particular focus on performance improvement and EBITDA growth. Prior to joining KKR Capstone, Mr. de Ochoa was a director at AlixPartners, specialising in procurement and supply chain. Prior to this, he was general manager and primary shareholder of an Automotive Tier II supplier with plants in Spain and Slovakia. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and has completed various specialized training courses in Operations. He is fluent in Spanish, English, and French.

Pasquale Terracciano – Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors

Diplomat. Director General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Former Ambassador to Madrid, London, and Moscow. Former Diplomatic Adviser to the Italian Prime Minister and G8/G20 Sherpa. He also served as Chief of Staff of the Italian Foreign Minister and as Spokesperson of the Ministry. Previously he had been posted to Brazil, NATO (twice), and London – where he also sat on the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Andrea Wong – Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors
Appointed: February 2020
Mrs. Wong serves on the boards of Liberty Media Corporation, Qurate Retail Group, Hudson Pacific Properties, and Oaktree Acquisition Corp II. She was most recently President, International Production for Sony Pictures Television and President, International for Sony Pictures Entertainment based in London.
Previously, Wong served as President and CEO of Lifetime Networks. Prior to that, she was Executive Vice-President of Alternative Programming, Specials, and Late Night at ABC.
Wong graduated MIT with a degree in electrical engineering and received an MBA from Stanford University. She is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and a member of the Committee of 100.
